Elizabethan English

In the works of Elizabethan authors, there are many differences in grammar, syntax and meaning compared to the language toady used. This is because of the renaissance movement. The ancient classics were being studied as they had never before been studied in England. Therefore the language is full of English-Latin and Latin- English and an orderly arrangement of words into sentences is therefore lacking.

Moreover in those days printed books were not so common and the spoken English was less grammatical than now.

To overcome this problem of the words I have created a list of Elizabethan words used in the play Julius Caesar. You can see the list at Glossary Section of my website.
